WHO WE ARE
Nashville Tree Conservation Corps is an organization made of people who love trees and recognize their vital importance in our neighborhoods. In 2015, we were founded by a small group of people who didn’t wait for someone else, another organization, or metro government agencies to change how trees were handled in their neighborhood. This small group of committed citizens connected the dots, gathered the data, and rallied their neighborhoods to act, to speak out for the trees. Nashville Tree Conservation Corps has a mission for trees, but the by-products of our mission’s pursuit are helping people learn more about their government, our policies, and the various community aspects that impact not only trees but many aspects of our livelihoods in Nashville.
We are a 100% volunteer-driven organization, which is fitting for the great Volunteer State of Tennessee! The officers and the board of directors are paid entirely by the joy we all feel when we see mature healthy trees being preserved in our neighborhoods and new trees being planted for the future. We believe that committed and organized people can change the world, and oftentimes do.
